The votes are in from our online Motorcycle Classics East Meets West Final Face Off, and Dale Keesecker’s 1971 Egli-Vincent was a landslide win — 74 percent of voters told us that’s the bike they wanted in our run-off between first-round winners Al Porter for his 1962 BSA Rocket Gold Star Twin, which took Best of Show at the Motorcycle Classics Bike Show West at the Bonneville VintageGP, and Keesecker for his Egli-Vincent, which took Best of Show at the Motorcycle Classics Bike Show East at the Barber Vintage Festival.
Congratulations to Dale for winning our first Motorcycle Classics East Meets West bike show runoff, and watch these pages for a full feature on his immaculately restored special. Originally built by Roger Slater in England, Dale’s Egli-Vincent has been massaged to 1,300cc capacity and runs as well as it looks. Lovely in every way, it’s just one of a batch of spectacular Vincents in Dale’s collection. MC
