Richard Backus and his crew bring a 1968 BSA Firebird Scrambler back to life.

The BSA Firebird Scrambler was conceived in 1968 as a dual-sport scrambler. It featured a peanut fiberglass gas tanks, high pipes and lighting, and provided a practical alternative to the BSA Hornet. By 1970 the bike had morphed into a standard road bike. BSA failed to effectively market the Firebird, so by 1972, the Firebird was dropped from BSA’s lineup.
